Äldste Harris and I had a great last day together on Tuesday. While contacting, we were able to see an old investigator and set up a time to meet for next week! Throughout the rest of the day, Äldste Harris said hej då to many people that we have become great friends with.
Elder Harris is the friendliest person I know, it's no wonder that so many were sad to see him leave. He will do so well in Karlskrona! On Tuesday evening, we had a dinner with a potential investigator named Brit and her son Martin! We got to eat reindeer meat!
After the dinner, we drove to the airport and picked up Äldste Erdman! He is from Arkansas, he has been in Sweden for 18 months, he is super good at soccer, and he can cut hair! Äldste Harris, Äldste Erdman, and I became a trio from Tuesday night until Wednesday morning when Äldste Harris left.
On the way to the airport to drop him off, we saw reindeer!! Äldste Harris's last day and Äldste Erdman's first! They looked quite majestic, and there was even an albino! Saying goodbye to Äldste Harris was hard. What a great missionary!
We found out that President Monson died on Wednesday morning. Our companohship study was focuesd on him as a result, and Äldste Erdman and I listened to a great talk by him called, 'Finishers Wanted.' I encourage you to listen to it as well!
Working with Äldste Erdman has been great! He is an awesome teacher and super good at Swedish, a few of the members in the branch actually thought he was from Sweden! It's been fun learning to work with a new person and being the companion that knows the ropes around Boden!
We were able to teach two new investigators this week, Kenth and Angelica! Kenth is a man we tracted into a few weeks ago, and Angelica is a 9 year old whose mom is a member in Boden! Jakob is doing well, hopefully he will be baptized during this month. He has been visiting his family in Stockholm for the past few weeks.
This week during personal study, I focused on finding principles. One that I have been thinking about is 'to feel Christ's power, we need to follow his principles.' Alma 37:35 says 'O, remember, my son, and learn wisdom in thy youth; yea, learn in thy youth to keep the commandments of God.' Following the commandments helps us to feel the power of the Gospel!
Have a wonderful January!
